—Authorities have found another major marijuana growing operation in a remote area of Alameda County. Thanks to an anonymous tip deputies and state agents say they uncovered more than 15000 marijuana plants in Sunol earlier this week. Alameda County Sheriff’s Lt. Kelly Miles says investigators also found a campsite at the site. The discovery of the marijuana garden Monday comes after deputies found a marijuana grow last month in Sunol with 22000 plants.

18 charged after metro-wide raids to seize marijuana

Law enforcement officials claimed they seized more than $6 million worth of marijuana plants $271000 in cash 20 vehicles and $25000 in gold and diamonds. According to an affidavit by Anthony J. Fletcher a member of a Drug Enforcement Administration task force drug agents with search warrants searched several homes Tuesday. He said they found active growing operations at six of the homes and that officers seized 3309 marijuana plants.
