In a news release McGilvray said Graham officers served a search warrant Friday night at 406 Poplar St. Graham following an investigation by the two police departments. Three people were arrested including an employee of the city of Graham. fficers seized more than 60 marijuana plants in varying stages of maturity as well as about 26 pounds of marijuana and an unspecified amount of cocaine.

The 50-person town passed an ordinance legalizing medical marijuana earlier this month even though the state doesn’t allow it. The move stirred controversy statewide.
