Trooper Chris Howell said he pulled over the driver of a 1997 Pontiac for a minor traffic violation at about 11:41 p. Friday along Interstate 74. Howell said he suspected the driver might have been intoxicated but the man passed the tests.

Richland Police fficer Nash smelled the odor of marijuana coming from Trovillo’s vehicle. Trovillo was arrested for 1st degree driving with a suspended license. During a search of Trovillo’s car officers recovered a baggie of marijuana and a pipe in the center console. While searching the backseat found a large backpack containing approximately two pounds of marijuana. The marijuana was packaged in several plastic bags of various amounts. Trovillo was booked into the Benton County Jail on a felony investigation hold for possession with intent to deliver.

Wetherington said the police officer interviewed the other people in the jeep while he chased Washington. In the jeep authorities found an electronic scale. The dog found half an ounce of marijuana that had been thrown into a nearby ditch. Terrell Desean Askew 21 of Craven Terrace is charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia Wetherington said. Askew was a passenger in the back seat. New Bern police had a warrant out for Askew who is charged with property damage in a separate incident. The driver Quinn Hughes McDaniel 19 of New Bern is charged with speeding and littering.

Feds Find $1.6 Million Buried At hio Farm

Attorney Dave DeVillers says the money was in seven metal ammunition boxes at the farm in Huron County. The boxes held various denominations including $20 $50 and $100 bills. The money is believed to be from a drug ring that took in $10 million from the sale of marijuana in central hio this year and in 2007. Fifteen people have been indicted in the ring and authorities previously confiscated more than $4 million 80 firearms and marijuana valued at $2.

Customs and Border Protection officers at the Gateway International Bridge discovered $106000 in marijuana hidden within the bed of a Nissan Frontier pickup leading to the arrest of one woman. n Tuesday at 6:42 p. at the Gateway International Bridge CBP officers referred a white 1994 Nissan Frontier driven by Patricia Garcia Castillo a 43-year-old Mexican citizen and resident of Ciudad Victoria Tamaulipas-Mexico for a secondary inspection. During the examination CBP officers noted discrepancies to the bed of the Frontier.
