A total of 56 cannabis plants with a street value of £56000 were recovered from properties in Commercial Street and Laurel Gardens Crook. Tablets and a substance believed to be amphetamine were also seized from a house in Commercial Street Willington. Two men both aged 33 have been arrested and bailed on suspicion of drug offences Durham Police said.

Customs and Border Protection officers at the Gateway International Bridge discovered $106000 in marijuana hidden within the bed of a Nissan Frontier pickup leading to the arrest of one woman. n Tuesday at 6:42 p. at the Gateway International Bridge CBP officers referred a white 1994 Nissan Frontier driven by Patricia Garcia Castillo a 43-year-old Mexican citizen and resident of Ciudad Victoria Tamaulipas-Mexico for a secondary inspection. During the examination CBP officers noted discrepancies to the bed of the Frontier.

People inside the home at the time told police that two men came in displayed a gun and demanded drugs. Greg Foster said the robbers then took an undisclosed amount of cash and “a personal use baggie of marijuana. “ne of the victims gave chase to the men until one of them turned around and fired one shot at him which missed. ne suspect was described as a black man the other a Native. An Alaska State Trooper K-9 unit showed up at the scene and was able to determine that the men had fled in a vehicle though no one was able to provide a description of the car. Police said if the marijuana was recovered its owner likely would not face charges as it was a small amount.
