A court heard how a sophisticated growing system had been installed at a house in Heath Road, Colchester, which included lights and extractor fans. Chelmsford Crown Court heard how police passing the house noticed a strong smell of cannabis and when they looked through the letter box, they saw cannabis leaves on the floor and stairs. They forced their way in and arrested 43-year-old Andrew Raynor after a struggle. He told police later there was more cannabis at a flat he was renting in Maldon Road, the court was told.
