regulators granted approval for a clinical trial for GW’s under-the-tongue spray called Sativex, but the company said in July that European regulators had requested a further clinical study before approval. Echo said it will start clinical studies and trials of its pill, to be marketed as Namisol, in the first half of 2008. It was used as a Chinese herbal remedy around 5,000 years ago, while Britain’s Queen Victoria is said to have taken cannabis tincture for menstrual pains. "The big advantage of administering cannabis via a pill is that the drug is adopted easier by the body compared to alternatives," Woerlee said.

Funny. Like a little pot had anything to do with this drunken idiot driving 101. Another case of the cultural bias and hypocrisy that allows alcohol to be a legal, regulated social drug but not cannabis. If anything, it was the booze that gave him the false sense of security to drive that fast. Anyone who has ever toked the herb knows that it mellows you right out, and when driving makes 60 feel more like 100, so you end up driving 45 to compensate! At least that’s what I remember from my (long ago) days as a baker. Posted by chef162pac on January 23, 2008 at 3:03 p.
