In the first case, a 49-year-old man was arrested at the Woodlands Checkpoint at 12. 50 am on Friday, after officers found two blocks of a greenish substance in his jeans pocket. These are suspected to be cannabis worth some S$1,500. In another incident, at around 1. 10 am on Friday, ICA officers found cartons of cigarettes hidden in the spare tyre compartment of a car. A 42-year-old Singaporean admitted that he had bought the cartons of cigarettes from Johor Bahru. He had intended to sell them at S$55 per carton to his neighbours and friends.
