Four kilos of the drug was uncovered when a car was stopped on the Blarney Road while another 4 kilos was seized on the Orchard Road. Four men – all in their twenties – have been arrested. They are being questioned at Gurranabraher Garda Station and the Bridewell under drug trafficking legislation. They can be held for up to 7 days.

An OSP drug-sniffing dog at the traffic stop alerted officers of drugs in the trunk, police said in a news release.
