They seized more than 20 items including a new Mercedes Benz and a Holden Commodore ute. Investigators broke open a safe inside the home in search of evidence. It is believed the cannabis had been prepared for sale in the eastern states. Police expect further arrests in South Australia and interstate. The man and woman appeared in Mt Barker Magistrates Court yesterday and were refused bail. They are expected to reappear in court early next month. Share this article.

Police allegedly found 866 grams of cannabis yesterday at a property in Mill Street, Bermagui. They found a number of cannabis plants after searching a home on Sunset Blvd, Kianga on Wednesday. Another local man of 35 remains in custody following Thursday’s raid on the farm in Gwyddelwern, near Corwen. All three were arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and possessing prohibited firearms. Officers said they found a “substantial quantity” of illegal firearms and drug plants in various stages of growth.

Hounslow Drugs Squad swooped on residential premises in the Great South-West Road, Hounslow, and seized over 500 cannabis plants from the house, which had the facilities to reproduce huge quantities of marijuana. Three lorries were needed to confiscate the equipment and the bin bags full of cannabis plants from the rented semi-detached house. No one was living permanently at the premises, but locals had become aware of strange comings and goings.
