Deputies have charged 43-year-old Jillian Peltzman with simple possession of marijuana. Deputies say a school administrator smelled marijuana on Peltzman around 10 a. The administrator then searched Peltzman’s purse, where deputies say a the remnants of a marijuana cigarette were found. Deputies say a small amount of marijuana was found in her vehicle in the school’s parking lot. Seven of those who were arrested in the raids this week face federal charges of conspiracy to manufacture marijuana in what investigators said was an organization with ties to British Columbia. King County sheriff’s Sgt. John Urquhart said it was likely the biggest pot raid in which his agency has been involved. He said the investigation began months earlier on a tip from firefighters who were called to a house outside Kent because of a medical problem and heard fans and other equipment that raised their suspicions.

Wendy Kay McKian, 46, is charged with two counts for delivering or manufacturing marijuana after she allegedly sold the drugs to a TNT informant and a TNT detective in the parking lots of local restaurants on two separate occasions in November, records show. McKian could face up to four years in prison if convicted.
