That said, we agree that the issue of marijuana decriminalization has many shades of gray. 4 million Americans use marijuana at least once a year, and about 97 million are believed to have tried it at least once. Given such significant use, it’s reasonable to think that the “drug war” isn’t working as far as marijuana is concerned. But, marijuana use has declined steadily for many years – the peak was in 1979 – and anti-drug advocates also point to dropping teen marijuana use as a sign that enforcement and anti-drug campaigns are working.

A man, a pit bull, 15 pounds of marijuana and packaging materials were allegedly found in a commercial garage in the 1200 block of West Washington Street Thursday, according to a Washington County Narcotics Task Force news release. At 1425 Kensington Drive, apartment 102, in Hagers-town, agents allegedly found a woman, a small child, a small bag of marijuana and more than $12,000 in cash, the release states… Police allegedly found Lynn standing with a pit bull in the garage where the 15 pounds of marijuana – cut up into one-pound bags – were found. Agents said packaging materials and digital scales were also found in the garage, which was allegedly used for the past six months as a packaging site.
