Yet results of clinical trials have been mixed and its use in modern medicine remains limited. Now it seems the reasons may be practical as much as political and cultural: there are fundamental problems with how our bodies respond to the stuff. Some compounds in cannabis, including THC and cannabidiol, interfere with a natural signalling system throughout our brains, nerves and immune system. This system, which produces its own cannabis-like compounds called endocannabinoids, plays a role in many medical conditions including pain, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, depression and schizophrenia… Yet results of clinical trials have been mixed and its use in modern medicine remains limited. Now it seems the reasons may be practical as much as political and cultural: there are fundamental problems with how our bodies respond to the stuff. Some compounds in cannabis, including THC and cannabidiol, interfere with a natural signalling system throughout our brains, nerves and immune system. Because the system is so widespread, smoking or ingesting cannabis is bound to have varied effects, including its influence on the mind. Now it seems that even with purified cannabis extracts, changing the amount, time or place of a dose could produce completely opposite effects on.
Arrests over ‘cannabis factories’

Operation Dali had so far uncovered eight cannabis factories throughout the county, a spokesman said. Three properties were raided in Swindon and cannabis plants found on Friday. Det Insp Ian Saunders added: “The preparation and planning of these cannabis cultivation set-ups is clearly a well-organised operation. ”
He added: “From the outside some of the houses we raided looked like normal residential homes. “Inside we found a completely different picture… Operation Dali had so far uncovered eight cannabis factories throughout the county, a spokesman said. 5 Million discovery. 5 Million in marijuana plants Thursday. Benson said deputies followed up on a tip around 5 p. on Thursday and found 7,749 marijuana plants growing off of Old Catholic Church Road off of I-77 in Chester County.

Another 100 pounds was found at the residence of one of the suspects, Herman A. Forrester, 41, of 73 Mayer Drive, according to police. Authorities estimated the street value of the marijuana at $750,000. Forrester and the other suspect, Brian P. Schluter, 33, of 32 Sunny Brook Circle, were arraigned in New Paltz Town Court and taken to the Ulster County Jail. Forrester, charged with felony possession of marijuana, was being held without bail. Schluter, charged with two counts of felony possession of marijuana and one misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child, had bail set at $50,000… Forrester and the other suspect, Brian P. Schluter, 33, of 32 Sunny Brook Circle, were arraigned in New Paltz Town Court and taken to the Ulster County Jail. Forrester, charged with felony possession of marijuana, was being held without bail. Schluter, charged with two counts of felony possession of marijuana and one misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child, had bail set at $50,000. Police said they received word late Thursday night from the Maricopa, Ariz. , Sheriff’s Office that three packages were to be delivered by a local carrier to a Lloyd address and a fourth to an address in New Paltz. The Arizona authorities described the packages as containing large amounts of marijuana.
