Craigavon Magistrates Court was told that 59-year-old Michael William Kingham from Rosmoyle, Moyraverty in Craigavon and 41-year-old Phelim Fitzgerald Corey from Rowan Manor, Tullygally in Craigavon, were arrested in separate vehicles by uniformed police on the Lough Road in Lurgan on Thursday. When charged, Mr Kingham denied possessing the cannabis resin with intent to supply but said: “That’s OK” in response to the charge of possessing the drugs. Mr Corey denied both charges. A detective constable told the magistrates court that Mr Kingham was driving a car and Mr Corey a van when they were both stopped a half a mile apart from each other. They had both returned from Bolton in Lancashire and had said during interviews that they had gone there to collect furniture.

After years of letter writing, the FDA agreed with arguments against legalization and with the 1999 report by the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Science. In the report, there were six recommendations made, with recommendation number 5:

“If there is any future for marijuana as a medicine, it lies in its isolated components, the cannabinoids and their synthetic derivatives. Isolated cannabinoids will provide more reliable effects than crude plant mixtures. Therefore, the purpose of clinical trials of smoked marijuana would not be to develop marijuana as a licensed drug, but such trials could be a first step towards the development of rapid-onset, nonsmoked cannabinoid delivery systems. ”

Marijuana helps me cope

My mobility improves (I can move my right arm slightly). The pain is reduced by about 30 per cent. When I take marijuana I can write, change TV channels and eat with a spoon. When I don’t, people feed me and do everything for me. When I take marijuana my pain is reduced enough for me to think about other things. Otherwise, my day is a constant battle with pain, pain and more pain. The FDA and their people do not live like me… My mobility improves (I can move my right arm slightly). Junk science surrounding marijuana
Medical News Today – Apr 22, 2006
It has a high potential for abuse

Alcohol and tobacco have huge potential for abuse and are still legal because they make money (just one of the reasons). They are responsible for huge number of deaths every year. I yet have to see one person die from marijuana use or abuse. What about a number of prescriptioni drugs. ? Huge abuse potential, OD’s, suicides, addiction. Never a single study that proves marijuana addictive, lethal or being a gateway drug. Fiction with no facts… What about a number of prescriptioni drugs. ? Huge abuse potential, OD’s, suicides, addiction. Never a single study that proves marijuana addictive, lethal or being a gateway drug. Fiction with no facts. Long term European studies show no abuse or increased use after decriminalization. It has no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the USA

Meaningless and vague statement.
