Police stormed the Morven St home in Guildford, south-west Sydney, about 5. 30pm (AEDT) yesterday. They found cannabis plants and dried cannabis leaf worth an estimated $480,000. Two men were arrested at the scene, police said. A 69-year-old man was charged with cultivation and possession of a prohibited drug while a 66-year-old man was charged with possession and supply of a prohibited drug. Both were bailed to appear at Fairfield Local Court on May 1. Share this article.

Police officers stopped William Whitton at Inverinate after receiving information that he was travelling to Kyle with a quantity of illegal drugs. When they searched his car they found two slabs of cannabis in the engine compartment, with nine smaller pieces, plus a set of scales. Whitton, of 98 Easterbank, Forfar, pleaded guilty to possessing the class C drug with intent to supply.
