The bust occurred Monday as part of a joint venture to clean up the streets. Along with the marijuana, agents discovered $10,000 in cash, two weapons, and $3,000 worth of cocaine. Captain James Babin with Lafayette Metro Narcotics says it is all thanks to teamwork. Babin says this is what happens when two agencies cooperate together and share information regarding cases. He says if Carencro had not called metro narcotics into this investigation, he doesn't think any of this would have happened. According to Carencro police chief Carlos Stout, the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
