(AP) – Two men are in jail and being held on immigration charges after police seized 55 pounds of marijuana early yesterday. 23-year-old Cosme Damian Mendiola, of Phoenix, and 25-year-old Santos Isaac Bravo-Valdez, of Carson City, Nevada, were charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana and conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance. Michigan State police initiated the investigation during a traffic stop on Interstate 94 near the Indiana border. Detectives were later led to the suspects at a Grand Haven hotel. Police also seized two vehicles.
