12 million was seized by
police from a warehouse in northeast Delhi on Monday night, police officials
said on Tuesday. The police
filed a case against three people for smuggling and selling marijuana in the
capital and neighbouring Ghaziabad. One of the accused, Chunnu Prasad, was
arrested while the others, Sukumar and Radha Krishnan, were
absconding. Police also
informed that they had received information that Chunnu Prasad was carrying 190
kg of marijuana in a car and was trying to sell it in the Sonia Vihar area…
“We had also recovered over
500 kg of marijuana two weeks ago,” said Meena. He added that more recoveries
were part of a massive drive the police have been
conducting.

State Weeds Out More Than 1 Million Marijuana Plants

The California Department of Justice’s Campaign Against Marijuana Planting (CAMP) program has already smashed the previous single-season record of seized plants by 378,685, the attorney general’s office reported. When looking at the street value of marijuana, the department estimated the drugs were worth about $4 billion. Through CAMP raids 405 marijuana gardens have been shut down, the office reported. A total of 22 arrests have been made in connection with the raids, and 58 weapons were seized. Last year 757 gardens were closed, 41 arrests were made, and 53 weapons were collected though CAMP, the office reported…

Authorities Find Mammoth Marijuana Farm

Authorities said that estimate is expected to increase. Police got the tip from someone who called the sheriff’s office on Saturday. No arrests have been made yet in the case. Although it’s not known who the farm belongs to, police found sleeping bags and cell phone chargers at the site.
